WP22 (2¼Cr-1Mo, Grade 22) is the original and still widely-used chrome-moly alloy for high-temperature service. It has a massive installed base in global refineries, petrochemical plants, and power stations built from the 1960s through 2000s. Available in Class 1 (normalized) and Class 3 (quenched & tempered, higher strength). The go-to grade for replacement and maintenance of existing P22 systems.
