Its high molybdenum content (15–17%) provides exceptional resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. Outstanding in wet chlorine, hypochlorite, chlorine dioxide, sulfuric acid, and hydrochloric acid — both oxidizing and reducing conditions that defeat other alloys.
